PRANCHIYETTAN & THE SAINT
Ranjith is the man behind this brilliantly made simple movie. Main goodness is no one in the movie has a shadow of their stardom, even if its Mammokka, Siddique, Priyamani,Jagathy. Its hard to pick which was the most funniest dialogue.Am not sure on which nature should I include this as Fiction/Realistically humorous one.
The Role of Pranchi ( Ari Pranchi) can be done only by this man & he did it with full heart. Every one surrounds around the lead man shoots humor where ever is possible, they are having full support from main man too.
Interesting first half is full loaded with Memories of childhood love (lost love)with Khushboo, later married to Siddique(Jose). Then comes Club Election Pranchi V/S Jose & at last how to buy PADMASHREE. Oh! all these stuff are in Flash Back As our Pranchi himself Narrates the story to the The SAINT.
Second half becomes serious while comparing the Former, but Ranjith was not in a mood make us feel so. Idiot-ism continues.
There are some scenes where dubbing fails completely, cos dubbing is done in a scene were no actor even moves their lips.Am having no idea what happened on that.
Some dialogues are that much funny we wont say its an Adult joke.Pranchis some innocent dialogues are like this
"Njan allelum chodickanam ennu vicharickyarunnu endina purathinu engane KUDA MATTunnathu veruthe kashu kalayan".
The supporting cast where also in the mood Innocent,Tinytom,Priyamani. Every one associated with this movie will be proud for making one like this, cos in Malayalam Cinema its "ASHAYA DARIDRYAM" & this kind of sound should arise.
AM NOT SAYING THAT THIS MOVIE IS HAVING STORY BUT IT ENTERTAINS IN ALL SENSE.
Do watch this with family 8/10

SHIKAAR - THE HUNT
M. Padmakumar is back to his track after a forgettable (I wish to) ride called പരുന്ത് , This time he is prepared and at best. Manoj Pillai who handles camera has made his own place in our industry by growing up with movies like VASTHAVAM, ARABIKADHA & KAYYPOOU from horrible BHARGAVACHARITHAM 3am KHANDAM. S. SURESH BABU is the writer of THANDAVAM & DADASAHIB both became.... now this man comes with a sloppy/dragging yet emotionally dramatic script, with some twists & turns.
This story is about BALARAMAN a lorry driver portrayed by LALETTAN & his daughter Ganga done by ANANYA & Their mysterious life. The heroes character is molded in such a way that the fear in him is clearly visible in his every move. Which only unwinds in the middle of second half- which make it bit draggy.
Balaraman is typical LALETTAN kind of role, having few mannerisms and dialogues (A few),Still his best after Bhramaram. A simple intro which electrifies the theater atmosphere (As usual), his big fat body was apt for Balaraman as he is much older than Kulappulli Sukumaran of Oru Naal Varum. but in the flash back its a completely different LALETTAN slim & fit.
After a long break Kalabhavan Mani shines,Lalu alex, Suraj, Jagathy, Ananya, Palery Mythily all where in a good mood.Sneha has completed her job with two songs.More characters need to be mentioned according to there performance not doing due to twists & turns they make in the movie.
The Naran image is maximum utilized in promos & in action sequences also. The entire movie has only 2 action scenes, first completely resembles with Market Situation & Scene of Naran. Then the second allotment comes with double either Bhramaram or Udayon,s rope trick Climax . Using technology wont make your cinema look better this is the best example for that - flash back scenes were Superbly shot & full Telugu dialogues being pictured in Sepia tone, which were impressive. The most horrible time inside the movies was that folk featuring LAL., Shear guts needed to this.
I was Cheated by media that the climax sequences were shot on dangerous locations.Watch carefully so that you people can also understand.
SHIKAAR- THE HUNT: IS NOT GOING TO BE THE BIGGEST GROSSER OF THIS SEASON THAT'S FOR SURE.
7/10 FOR LALETTAN, M PADMAKUMAR , MANOJ PILLAY & POOYAM KUTTY Forest Range.
